JC (WRc code) JOINT CRACKED

Pipe condition:  Crack begins from joint. Infiltration develops and carries soil into pipe.

Repair:  Dry joint is repaired with GROUTING SLEEVE™.  Use SewerSealer™ in case of infiltration.

JO (WRc code) JOINT OFFSET

Pipe condition (Pic. 1): The spigot of a pipe is not concentric with the socket of the adjacent pipe. Here displacement is less than 1.5 pipe wall thickness. JDM < 1.5 “t” (joint displaced medium).

Repair is progressing (Pic. 2): Flow through plug makes possible to install sleeves when water is in pipe.

NOTE: In order to repair offset, separated, and broken joints the GROUTING SLEEVE™ should be used. 

If infiltration is present, always use the SewerSealer™for permanent sealing.

 JR (WRc code) ROOTS PROTRUDING JOINT

Pipe condition:   Roots may cause major cross-sectional area loss.

Root-Retarding: LINK-PIPE solution to the problem of roots intrusion is borrowed from the tradition of Scandinavian plumbers: using Copper. Copper hoops are placed around LINK-PIPE sleeves. 
Copper which comes into contact with sulfur in the soil forms a thin layer of copper sulfate (i.e. a fraction of an inch) around the pipe. This prohibits roots from growing in the direction of the pipe. Although the resulting copper sulfate is sufficient for root retarding, it doesn't affect the ambient conditions in the surrounding soil, because the quantity generated over the time is very small.
